Scottish Power

Whilst we were away between early February and Easter, we got notification via Emma, that SSE (the electricity infrastructure provider for our part of the world) was going to be doing some work which required the electric to be off. Pretty interesting stuff, and completely inadvertently our wildlife trail cameras were pointing pretty much the right way to capture the work. Apparently (according to Dave) the telegraph pole in the field opposite had been subject to some damage over a long period of time from the resident woodpecker, who had chiseled a long channel in it! Also, the transformer which feeds our house (alone) was going to be replaced for whatever reason (it was 40 years old more likely than not).

Ignore the date on the video, but pretty interesting to see what happened over a couple of days. Helpful, I'm sure, that they could use our driveway to park on in our absence. BTW, permission was given by SSE to our neighbour to take the old pole away! I really enjoyed watching them work.
